Easter Egg Covers

                                                                                 Flower Easter egg Cover

The pattern is made of two circles, one slightly bigger and one smaller, which are matched together on egg and sewn together.

Materials used:
·         2 mm crochet hook
·         100% cotton thread (I used Unitas Janja thread in the color 04- yellow)
·         Thread needle
·         Scissors
·         Large plastic egg  (size 6,5x9cm)


Larger circle:

Beginning: Start by making a chain of 10 and join to first chain (circle made).

Round 1: Chain 6 (counts as first triple treble), working through middle of circle; triple treble 3-togther, chain 7, * (triple treble 4-together, chain 7)* 7 more times. Join to top of beginning chain 6. = You should end up with 8 triple treble shells, and 8 ch-7 spaces.

Round 2: chain 8 (counts as 1 treble and chain 3), *1 treble in chain 3 space, chain 3, 1 treble in top of triple treble shell, chain 3*until end. = 15 treble stitches and 15 chain 3 spaces.

Round 3: *(Chain 10, single crochet in chain 3 space)* repeat until end. = 15 SC and 15 chain 10 spaces)

Round 4: repeat row 3

Cut thread.

For smaller circle repeat rounds 1-3



Spring Flower Easter egg Cover





This pattern is made of two flowers; a smaller flower that goes on the bottom of the egg and a larger flower that goes on top of egg. They are later joined by working chains of 15 chain stitches which are then slipped stitched to top or bottom part of Easter egg cover.

Materials used:

·         100% cotton crochet thread (I used Unitas Janja thread in the colors 04 Yellow and 377 Hot Pink)

·         2,00 mm crochet hook

·         Large plastic egg (size 6,5x9 cm)

·         Scissors

For smaller (bottom flower):

Working with yellow thread: ch-6, sl.st. to form circle.

Round 1: work 12 SC through circle center. = 12 SC

Cut yellow and join pink thread.

Round 2: With pink *ch-5, in second ch from hook work 1 SC, in next chain work 1 HDC, in next chain work 1 DC and in last CH work 1 TRC; join with SL. ST. To next SC, SL.ST. in next SC* Repeat five more times, join to beginning chain of first petal = 6 petals made

Round 3: Work 5 SL.ST. along the side of the first petal (until you reach the top), then *CH-8 and SC on top of next petal* repeat around. Join to beginning chain of first petal = 6 CH-8 spaces made.

Round 4 : *CH-1, work 8 SC in every CH-8 space * repeat around. Join to first SC.
Cut thread.

For larger flower:

Working with yellow thread: ch-6, sl.st. to form circle.

Round1: work 12 SC through circle center. = 12 SC

Cut yellow and join pink thread.

Round 2: With pink *ch-5, in second ch from hook work 1 SC, in next chain work 1 HDC, in next chain work 1 DC and in last CH work 1 TRC; join with SL. ST. To next SC, SL.ST. in next SC* Repeat five more times, join to beginning chain of first petal = 6 petals made

Cut pink and join yellow.

Round 3: with yellow work SCs evenly around each petal and in every SL.ST. and then cut yellow.

Round 4: Join pink in top of any petal ch-1 and *CH-10, 1 SC in top of next petal* repeat around. Join to ch-1.

Round 5: *CH-1, work 10 SC in every CH-10 space * repeat around. Join to first SC.

Round 6: SL. ST. In first 5 SC, CH-15 and slip stitch to any fourth SC of smaller flower, SL.ST. in the next (5th SC) of smaller flower, CH-15 and join to the 6th SC of larger flower (right next to the first chain 15.
*SL. ST. In next 9 SC, CH-15 and slip stitch to any fourth SC of smaller flower, SL.ST. in the next stitch (5th SC) of smaller flower, CH-15 and join to the 6th SC of larger flower (right next to the first chain 15).* Repeat around. = 6 pairs of 15 joining chains.

Cut thread.

Golden  rose easter egg cover





Materials used:

·         100% cotton crochet thread (I used Unitas Janja thread in the color 04- yellow)

·         2,00 mm crochet hook

·         Large plastic egg (size 6,5x9cm)

·         Thread needle

·         scissors

Start with making a chain of 8; join to first chain to make a circle.

Round 1: Working through circle center; chain 6 (counts as 1 double crochet + 3), * DC, ch-3* five times, join to 3rd chain of beginning chain 6 = 6 DCs and 6 ch-3 spaces.

Round 2: *In every ch-3 space work: 1 SC, 1HDC, 3 DC, 1 HDC, 1 SC, ch-1; skip each DC of previous round*Repeat to end = 6 petals made.

Round 3: *Ch-5, work 1 SC in ch-1 space made between the SCs of previous round* repeat around. = 6 ch-5 spaces made.

Round 4: * In every ch-5 space work: 1 SC, 1 HDC, 5 DC, 1 HDC, 1 SC; ch-1* repeat around = 6 petals

Round 5: *Ch-7, 1 SC in every ch-1 between SCs of previous round* repeat around = 6 ch-7 spaces made.

Round 6: * In every ch-7 space work: 1 SC, 1 HDC1. 7 DC, 1 HDC, 1 SC; CH-1* repeat around = 6 petals

Round 7: * Ch-9, 1 SC in every ch-1 space made between SCs of previous round* = 6 ch-9 spaces made.

Round 8: * In every ch-9 space work: 1 SC, 1 HDC, 9 DC, 1 HDC, 1 SC* repeat around = 6 petals

Round 9: sl. St. in first 7 sts.,* ch-10, 1 SC in centre DC (7th st)* repeat around

Round 10: Turn your work and sl. st. In last ch-10 st made, work 1 SC and turn back.  *Ch-12, 1 SC in next ch-10 space* repeat around, join to first SC made.

Round 11: Turn your work, sl. st. In last ch-12 made, 1 SC and turn back your work. * Ch-10, 1 SC in next Ch-12 space* Repeat around.

Cut thread, insert egg in cover and sew back shut.
