Hello,
I have
never written a blog before, so I guess a short introduction is the proper way
to get started. My name is Mariela and all there is to know is that I really
enjoy crafting; I always have and (probably) always will and I would say it is
the key thing about me.
It doesn’t
matter be it a crochet doily, a knitted sweater or perfectly sewn gown
embellished with a little embroidery; my heart skips a beat every time I
encounter such or similar items. Unfortunately, growing up I wasn’t lucky
enough to have been taught these crafts first hand, but rather my luck turned
later in life when I discovered that the basics (and much, much more) of what I
wanted to learn could be found in books, magazines and on the internet. So, I
feel a wholehearted thank you is necessary to be given to everyone who took
their time to make and post all those How to videos on You Tube, to all those
people who post their projects on blogs and similar sites and selflessly share
their knowledge with the world and of course publish their work in books,
booklets and magazines – you’ve all made a positive contribution to my life, so
thank you.
At first I
learned how to follow other’s instructions and complete someone else’s idea,
but with time, the certain way things are made became clearer and I can finally
say (after many years) that I feel confident enough to make my own patterns and
designs. True, they are still on the simpler side, but I only hope to improve
in the future.
So, without
further ado I would like to share with you a few Easter crochet patterns I’ve
done this year and which you just might have time to finish before Easter
actually arrives.
Happy
crocheting!
